I had more or less accepted that I wasn’t going to be able to make any meaningful changes to my application including essays. I thought that what was on my college application was final by that point, and that working on it any further wasn’t going to result in any major changes when acceptances started rolling out. That was before I got into contact with Journey to Success.
With only five days left until most of the college applications had to be turned in, we began working immediately. I was primarily aiming for, my dream schools, Cornell and NYU.
I learned that the “Why Us” supplements aren’t mysterious or something to be scared of and as a result, my supplement changed completely and so did my application. Of course, it took a great deal of work. In two days, we wrote a total of 6 drafts for Cornell alone, each one building off of the previous one.
Now with three days left, we moved on to the common app essay and activities section. I learned that I was approaching this in the wrong way. Once again, with a lot of work done on both of our parts, we finalized my essay and redid my entire activities section.
Those five days were stressful, but in that short period of time, we managed to get more done than I had on my own in four months. And all the work we put in paid off. I got accepted into NYU’s Liberal Studies school, and was secured the seat for Cornell’s ILR school.
This was only possible because of the help and dedication I received from Journey to Success during that week.

I enjoyed every bit of the program. Especially the diligent instructors and a well-structured program. I was guided through the grueling college process, and they helped me through certain life challenges. Overall, I found the structure very organized as it easily accessible. I also felt like the instructors and crew really cared about my college application and also cared for me as a person. The relationships I had formed with the crew and kids were different from the relationship I had with my school counselor. All in all, I had quite a lovely experience and would give it a 2 thumbs up :)

Daisy's team gave such great individual attention to both of my sons needs! They worked hard to make sure their individual talents shone through in their college applications. Daisy and her team were always reachable for the help and advice both for the students and parents and their advice was always invaluable. They have the people in place to help with all the questions and guide you with your college strategy. My two sons grew with them for 7 years total, and my niece spent one year with them to successfully enter her dream school I could not possibly recommend the guidance of Daisy's team more!

I have seen the JtoSuccess team cultivate my son’s strengths and encourage him to do his best right up until the end. Many times through this process the team recommended course selections for my son, along with activities/summer programs such as a research program based on his possible career goals. they found fun volunteering opportunities and many meaningful extra curricular activities in and out of school. Because of this he was able to develop many leadership roles, and I am positive that it opened him up to engage with real world situations. He found his dream school and major when he first travelled to the UC Berkeley Research Program. In particular, the University of the Berkeley Summer Research Program gave him the best experience to work and live with the top rated faculty, and through their lectures and guidance, complete a research paper during two summers. All the activities and lectures were helpful and inspired and motivated him throughout his studies in high school. Even after the summer programs, they suggested creating a club related to his major. Definitely, all the activities he initiated were the big elements to being accepted to his dream school. He completed a summer internships which my son couldn’t do alone with all his school homework and many school test preps. And whatever he needed assistance in, the JtoSuccess team always offered online sessions and professional mentorship.

Because of Journey to Success, I felt very prepared for the college applications. I had resources to help me prepare at every meeting. My stress of ACTs and SATs were greatly reduced. When I contracted with Journey to Success for my second kid for the college admission process, I clearly noticed that it was very different from the consulting companies I had seen/experienced in Korea for my first child. The devotion to the students is enormous. Since I can compare my oldest child’s experiences to a few Korean companies, I can tell you exactly what it is. First of all, since Journey to Success is located in the United States, the quality of information is accurate/updated and quick action compared with many Korean College Consulting Firms. It was amazing to accurately identify the student's characteristics and give directions, and if you want to apply for a course, most of the academies only list information you already know. Daisy always studies first, and after a long time and sincerity, she collects enough information about the admissions, and helps us in choosing our family. Most of all, I was impressed to see that she cares for my child like a mother, so Thank you very much. I think my child was able to get into university because of Daisy and her team of teachers.

My daughter has had a good GPA, but I realized working with Daisy's team that she would need more than that for successfully applying to colleges. She lacked activities and essay skills for the college application process, but Daisy's team did a fantastic job getting her ready. She was able to attend a research camp for three years and online classes with professionals which I believe was a major component of her college application. My daughter came back from the research program each year with something new to add to personal improvement and her college application. Along with the summer program experiences and working with Daisy's team, she was able to get a good outlook about her college decisions.
